OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2014. President Zhang Zhaoxiang of MCC met with President Xi Guohua of China Northern Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Corp (China CNR) and his visiting delegation members.

Both parties exchanged views on engineering EPC, supply of mine machineries and the other cooperative issues.

Vice President Huang Dan of MCC and Vice President Jia Shirui of China CNR signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement respectively on behalf of each party. The signing ceremony was presided over by Chairman Zhao Zhishun of MCC Communication Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (MCET).

Zhang Zhaoxiang extended warm welcome to President Xi Guohua, and made a briefing on the latest development situation of MCC Group. According to Zhang, engineering is the traditional core business of MCC Group, the revenue of which accounts for 80% of the total income. Along with the development of steel industry in China, now MCC Group pays more attention to the technical transformation, industrial upgrading and environmental-friendly transformation works in the traditional metallurgical industry, and applies the advanced experiences accumulated in metallurgical sector to the non-steel industries.

The main marketing fields of MCC Group include rail transit, infrastructure, environment protection, sewage treatment and garbage disposal. In addition, MCC Group is one of 16 central enterprises engaged in real estate development, which are approved by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council. The real estate development is one of the key business sector attached by great importance by MCC Group.

Furthermore MCC Group is one of the key resource enterprises determined by the State Government, as well as one of China’s largest producers for technical equipment. Zhang Zhaoxiang expected both parties to further strengthen communication and exchange, and undertake wide collaboration in engineering EPC market and supply of mine machinery products.

Xi Guohua pointed out that, China CNR is one of the leading domestic enterprises for production of rail transit equipment, and mainly engages in the manufacturing and maintenance of railway locomotive and urban rail vehicle. The product mix consists of railway locomotive, passenger train, CRH train, cargo train and metro. In recent years, China CNR started to provide the overall solution for urban transportation and fixed the main tasks for the transformation and service. Xi Guohua wished that both parties could carry out further discussion on the cooperative methods, redouble efforts on communication and exchanges, make active exploration on mutual cooperation in a wider and deeper manner, and promote the common healthy development of both parties.

After the meeting, both parties held the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation framework agreement at the headquarters of MCC Group. The ceremony was presided over by Zhao Zhishun.
