OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2014. The opening of the 14th Kazakhstan International Exhibition Tourism and Travel" - KITF 2014 was held.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Nurlan Sauranbayev. He noted that the international tourist exhibition KITF in Almaty is one of the main tourist sites of Central Asia, and it allows exchanging international experience with leading market experts, to discuss current issues, to provide for new directions and to identify effective ways to develop the tourism industry.

As the Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Marat Igaliyev noted the exhibition was attended by 550 companies from 41 countries in 2014. Traditionally, all regions of Kazakhstan participated as individual exposures.

Also a national seminar-workshop on the development of the tourism industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan organized by the Tourism Industry Committee will be held under KITF 2014. The seminar will focus on the development of social tourism, the role of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs in reducing administrative barriers and prospects for development of domestic tourism , as well as to promote the development of tourism industry of Kazakhstan in the framework of the International specialized exhibition EXPO -2017.
