Kazakh Government Extends Environment Program
OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2014. Kazakhstan Government extends the program "Zhasyl El", this was announced by Education Minister Aslan Sarinzhipov at a briefing of the Central Communications Service.
"Cabinet meeting decided that the program will be continued. It will be implemented jointly with the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources," the Minister said.
According to him, in 2014 program funding from the national budget has been increased almost twice and is 404 million tenge, from local budgets to 303 million tenge.
Ministry plans to allocate additional funding for program’s branding activities and ideological support in the amount of 70 million tenge this year.
More than 200,000 young people who have planted over 44 million trees and landscaped parks with a total area of 101 thousand hectares participated during the implementation of "Zhasyl El". They were actively engaged in renovation of communities affected by natural disasters, assisted in improving the yards and homes of the Great Patriotic War veterans.
