Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant Holds Successful Trials of New Product
OREANDA-NEWS. The DN 300 PN 0.8 MPa pilot ball valve passed preliminary factory tests; the tests were held at Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant (BVP OJSC, based in the Republic of Bashkortostan, part of United Metallurgical Company, OMK CJSC) in March of 2014.
The ball valve is one of the most modern and progressive types of stop valves; it is increasingly being used for pipelines transporting natural gas and oil, and for city gas supply systems, as well as for other uses.
The decision to introduce this new type of product at BVP was made in September of 2013. Preparations are currently under way to hold acceptance tests at the Orgenergogaz Saratovorgdiagnostika OJSC testing ground. At the same time, work to obtain a certificate of compliance with the Customs Union's technical regulations is in progress.
“The ability to produce ball valves will increase BVP's competitive edge and will enable the plant to expand production and deliver valves for pipelines that transport unaggressive natural gas. Furthermore, this will open the medium range ball valves market to BVP, as it will allow the plant to offer clients a new high quality product,” said Alexander Kozhevnikov, Managing Director of BVP, commenting on the successful trials.
