POSCO Starts Solution Marketing
OREANDA-NEWS. April 24, 2014. CEO Oh-joon Kwon visited shipbuilding clients successively, stepping forward for Solution Marketing.
CEO Kwon spoke with Hyundai Heavy Industries Chairman CEO Jai-seong Lee, visited the shipbuilding site, and continued visiting to Geoje Island to speak with Samsung Heavy Industries President Dae-young Park and discussed win-win cooperation plans.
CEO Kwon said, ``Let us strengthen mutual trust and cooperation relationships to grow together as the world`s best and overcome promptly the crisis the shipbuilding and steel industries due to global economic stagnation.``
Shipbuilding companies are core clients that purchase the majority of steel plates from POSCO. Accordingly, the objective of CEO Kwon`s visit was to listen directly to the voice of customers and proactively promote POSCO`s technology-based Solution Marketing.
Technology-based Solution Marketing is an activity combining technological support and marketing to provide customers with solutions according to their needs, and through this, to strengthen customer value competitiveness.
POSCO plans to proactively develop and supply steel materials needed in future high value-added industries such as offshore plants, environment-friendly ships, as well as ships for polar expeditions, and to further develop R&D technology consultative bodies that are currently in operation to strengthen strategic partnership relations.
Further, POSCO will establish a system that can accommodate all of customers` requested product quality and standards, and strengthen Solution Marketing that can provide practical value to clients through jointly participating in project biddings with client companies.
Meanwhile, CEO Kwon plans to have opportunities to communicate with internal and external customers to carry out field-oriented, customer-centered management.
