Allegro Passengers Will Be Able to Buy Tickets at Discounts Up to 32%
OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2014. Tickets on the high-speed train Allegro No. 787/788 departing from 16 June to 13 December 2014 inclusive, running from Mondays to Thursdays and on Saturdays, will be available to passengers at special rates, with special fares applying to tickets in 1 and 2 class carriages.
The basic fare of a rail journey consists of the cost of the ticket and the reservation when booking in Russia and Finland.
The basic fare increases / falls depending on peak / off-peak times and services with increased / decreased demand. Special fares may also apply.
Thus, a basic ticket on the Allegro Saint Petersburg - Helsinki service is EUR 86.10 in a 2nd class carriage, EUR 106.10 in a 2nd class carriage when the passenger travels with a pet and EUR 140.60 when travelling in a 1st class carriage.
The fare on Allegro No. 787/788 service between Saint Petersburg - Helsinki during off-peak times (i.e. from Mondays to Thursdays and on Saturdays), is as follows: EUR 58.55 in second class, EUR 72.15 for a passenger travelling in a 2nd class carriage with a pet and EUR 101.83 in a 1st class carriage.
During peak times (i.e. on Fridays and Sundays), the fare is slightly higher: EUR 64.40 in a 2nd class carriage, EUR 79.36 in a 2nd class carriage when travelling with a pet and EUR 110.06 in a 1st class carriage.
In addition, from 16 June to 31 August 2014, from Mondays to Thursdays and on Saturdays, peak fares on all trains Allegro have been cancelled. That is, on these weekdays, fares on Allegro trains will be reduced by 10%.
Passengers should also note that on the Allegro morning train No. 151/152 special fares apply: EUR 39.01 in 2nd class, EUR 48.01 in 2nd class when the passenger travels with an animal and EUR 74.33 in 1st class during off-peak periods (55% reduction off the basic fare).
During peak times, the fare on the morning Allegro services No. 151/152 is 48.96 EUR in 2nd class carriages, 60.40 EUR in 2nd class when a passenger takes an animal and 88.33 EUR for 1st class during peak times (43% reduction off the basic fare).
In Russia, tickets are sold at all specialised ticket offices and terminals handling international trains, as well as through the official website Russian Railways.
Ticket sales are calculated in roubles at the exchange rate set by the Central Bank of Russia on the day the tickets are booked.
When booking tickets in third countries , "East-West" fares apply.
