OREANDA-NEWS.  April 22, 2014. The Global Banking & Finance Review international magazine has designated the bank Moldova Agroindbank (MAIB) as the best commercial bank in Moldova. MAIB receives this prize for the second year in a row, according to a press release by the bank.

European experts found out that the bank displayed innovation, strategic development, ascending evolution and creativity. When assessing the bank’s efficiency, such indicators as assets, credits and deposits, distribution network, diversity and accessibility of products and services were taken into account.

MAIB is in the lead in the banking system in terms of most of the above-mentioned indexes. The banks has assets in amount over 1 billion dollars, a credits portfolio worth about 660 million dollars and deposits opened by private persons amounting to almost 550 million dollars.

„The prize confirms the accuracy of the development strategy of the bank and, at the same time, requires a more exigent approach toward what we do. The clients’ trust gives us forces for a stable development in the long run, so that new common achievements will not be long-awaited,” MAIB President Serghei Cebotari said.

The bank will mark its 23rd anniversary soon. All along this time, MAIB has been regularly getting awards provided by the most famous organisations and publication in the area, among which Finance Central Europe, Global Finance, World Finance, Trade Finance, Euromoney, The Banker, Finance Central Europe etc., as well as many regional and national prizes.
