OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2014, Aleksandr Kovalchuk became CEO of Corum Svet Shakhtyora that operates under the Underground Mining Division of Corum Group.

“By entrusting the management of the company to Aleksandr, Corum counts on him as an experienced manager and highly qualified technology expert,” noted Ildar Saleyev, Director of the Underground Mining Division. “We are confident that his deep understanding of customer concerns, his managerial and manufacturing expertise and long service with Corum Svet Shakhtyora will help him to make decisions that will not just maintain our positions in the market but also give a new impetus to the development of the company.”

From January 2014 until now, Aleksandr Kovalchuk had been Marketing and Sales Director at Corum Group, and worked to cement the Company's positions in the Polish market. Earlier, as Director of Underground Mining Division, Aleksandr developed the key product lines of coal cutters, roadheaders, supports and powered facilities. He actively contributed to the launch of the repair plants in Gorlovka and Druzhkovka that maintain coal cutters and powered supports.

With Corum Svet Shakhtyora, Aleksandr Kovalchuk went all the way from mechnical foreman to chief engineer.

As reported earlier, Gennadiy Vysotskiy who was CEO of Corum Svet Shakhtyora passed away after an extended illness.
