Ukraine, Poland to Facilitate Work on Reverse Gas Supply
OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2014. Operators of connecting gas transmission systems of Ukraine (Ukrtransgas) and Poland (Gaz-System SA) signed a supplement to the Operating Agreement, which specifies the procedure for the transfer of production and technical information between companies.
Thus, the procedure for registration of the daily volume of natural gas that supplied to Ukraine by reverse mode through the gas measuring station Hermanowice, Poland is significantly simplified.
"This decision brings an agreement between the two operators into line with the European energy legislation. Thanks to these changes the procedure of import of gas to Ukraine becomes much easier," Chairman of National Joint-Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Management Board Andriy Kobolyev said.
Under the agreement, distribution of volumes of will be held in accordance with the Distribution Network Code, on the following principles:
- daily volumes designed to users of gas transmission systems under supply via the gas measuring station Hermanowice to equal to the approved nominated volumes,
- the difference between total nominated volume for all users on each month and the actual volume of gas delivered through this GMS to be distributed between all users in proportion to their approved nominated volumes.
Gas supplies to Ukraine through Hermanowice have been held in November 2012 for the first time for a total capacity of gas supplies to Ukraine at the GMS is 1.5 billion cubic meters per year.
