OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2014. Upon a proposal of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), the Government of the Samara region passed a Decree introducing changes to the “Procedures for granting subsidies from the regional budget in 2013-2015 to agricultural producers and organizations in the agro-industrial complex, operating in the Samara region, to compensate the costs for producing agricultural products in the part of the purchasing cost”.

Until the relevant changes were introduced, the Procedures had not provide for the subsidies for acquiring machinery for crop farming and livestock breeding, produced by Russian manufacturers outside the Samara region. The Decree excluded such requirements.

In the FAS opinion, the new procedures for granting subsidies, approved by the Government of the Samara region, are designed to develop competition and eliminate discriminatory conditions for machinery producers, registered outside the Samara region.
