OREANDA-NEWS.  During official visit to Washington, DC, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Shlapak signed a loan guarantee agreement between Ukraine and United States of America, namely, with the United States Agency for International Development ("USAID"), which provides economic assistance to Ukraine in the form of loan guarantees amounting in USD 1 billion to meet Ukraine`s obligations on government external borrowings in 2014. The implementation of this guarantee will be held by issuing Eurobonds of Ukraine on USD 1 billion.
The purpose of this Agreement is to support economic reform in Ukraine, aimed at economic recovery and providence of adequate social protection.
