OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2014. Jin Mao Hyatt Regency Chongming under Franshion Properties, a HK-listed holding subsidiary of Sinochem Group, opened on Chongming Island, Shanghai.

Among the 240 attendees at the opening ceremony were Franshion Properties Chairman He Cao; Hyatt Asia Pacific President Larry Tchou; as well as leaders of the Chongming County Government and owner representatives of Franshion Properties’ Jin Mao Noble Manor.

Following the cooperation in Jin Mao Grand Hyatt Shanghai project, Franshion Properties and Hyatt joined hands again to present a high-grade hotel product of “Jin Mao” brand, which has filled Chongming’s gap in high-end tourism hotels and will play a positive role in perfecting the tourism infrastructure of Chongming Island, attracting tourists and promoting the island’s development and construction.

With an area of 33,400 square meters, a total floor area of 49,000 square meters and 235 rooms, Jin Mao Hyatt Regency Chongming integrates the functions of leisure & recreation, fitness, Chinese and Western catering, commerce & convention and accommodation. Designed by JWDA in Chinese style, and constructed according to local conditions, the hotel is characteristic of Chongming Island as it fuses with the local natural environment and local humanity, and integrates a collection of local elements.
