Sebe Bus Company Planning to Build Military Vehicles
OREANDA-NEWS. April 14, 2014. Sebe, known to many as an operator on the country's intercity bus routes, has won tender to provide maintenance to the Defense Force's armored vehicles, has founded a company to develop military competence in the field of unmanned military and rescue vehicles.
The company, better known for ferrying students between Tallinn and Tartu, won the tender last year and has now been inspired to construct its own vehicles, although no further details or a timeframe have been published, Postimees reported.
The Defense Force has announced a total of 111.5 million euros worth of procurements this year, including 45 million for equipment and trucks, 14 million for maintenance of weapons and vehicles, and 13 million for ammunition, with the daily reporting that Estonian companies are expected to win 61 million euros worth of the procurements.
