Gas-Powered Bravis to Go into Series Production
OREANDA-NEWS. The new product of 2014 – the CNG Bravis bus – was presented on the ground in front of the general directorate of OJSC KAMAZ (a member of State Corporation Rostec).
The Bravis small-class city bus with a gas engine generating 190 hp is a joint product of OOO KAMAZ-MARCO and OOO RariTEK, OJSC KAMAZ’s distributor of products with gas engines. Buses manufactured by the joint venture of KAMAZ and the Brazilian company Marcopolo S.A. – KAMAZ-MARCO – meet all modern international standards. They are based on KAMAZ-3297 chassis and Brazilian antirust bodies made of galvanized steel and aluminum.
The presentation was made by Rafael Batyrshin, Head of RariTEK, with the assistance of Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, and managers of the company’s departments. The participants had an opportunity not only to assess the exterior of the bus, but also to go for a drive as a passenger in it on one of the city’s avenues. Having got evidence of the benefits of the new bus, the top managers of KAMAZ approved plans of RariTEK to start serial production of Bravis CNG small-class city buses.
At the meeting, Leasing Company KAMAZ Inc. announced a special offer for the Bravis city bus on the KAMAZ-3297 chassis (20% deposit, 48 months lease, appreciation from 6.6%, preferential CASCO insurance 1.1%).
