Breakbulk China 2014 Showcases More Specialized Logistics Providers
OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2014. Breakbulk China 2014 was held successfully for the third year in Shanghai, China. As Asia’s largest event in the transport of breakbulk, heavy lift and project cargo, Breakbulk China’s professional platform gathered 160 exhibitors and near 4,000 qualified attendees in Shanghai, providing the opportunity of socializing, strategic creativity and business networking.
The professional portfolio of Breakbulk China 2014 included two-day workshops Krabbendam Heavy Transport & Lifting Masterclass, PPG Certificate in Project Forwarding; one-day educational program Breakbulk Education Day; two-day exhibitions and executive presentations; and three networking events Welcome Reception, Shanghai International Port Group Luojing Terminal Port Tour and Business Run.
In its first year be held at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, Breakbulk China 2014 exhibited in 8,000 square meters and showcased 18.5% more specialized logistics providers than in 2013; exhibitors and sponsors of Breakbulk China 2014 including specialized carriers, freight forwarders, ports and terminals, packers and equipment companie that have expertise in handling oversized and heavy cargoes.
The Breakbulk brand has been strongly rooted in the US since 1989 with its original Breakbulk exhibition held in New Orleans LA USA. Breakbulk Events and Media organizes events globally in seven countries and regions. Breakbulk's global presence and experience make Breakbulk China a global platform, where companies from 78 countries and regions met to do business in China. Compared with Breakbulk China 2013, 19% more delegates come from international destinations.
The quality of attendees was also greatly improved in Breakbulk China 2014. Though the total attendee quantity was slightly down compared with last year, there were 8% more C-level (CEO, CFO, COO) decision makers and 57% delegates come from the management teams (logistics management, financial management, etc.). The percentage of shippers (EPC, manufacturers, cargo owners) was also increased to 11.3%, which was a 2.3% increase compared with last year. Shippers from companies like ABB, Air Liquide, Alstom, Aramco Asia, etc. were all attracted to this specialized platform of Breakbulk China.
The fourth Breakbulk China will be held from March 17 to 20, 2015 in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. More information will be published on the official website www.breakbulk.com.
