OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2014. Nordea Bank is implementing a 3D Secure technology developed by the international payment systems Visa International и MasterCard Worldwide in order to ensure additional protection of Internet shopping.

Thanks to 3D Secure you can pay online quickly and safely. Once you enter your card details on the website of a seller, you will be forwarded to a special webpage where you are requested to enter a one-time password (OTP) sent to the mobile phone number you stated when subscribing to 3D Secure or Mobile Bank service. Then the Bank verifies your OTP and sends permission to the above special webpage that the payment transaction may be effected. The whole payment verification process takes a minute at most.

Such OTP payment confirmation is applicable to transactions via the websites which are certified by Visa International and MasterCard Worldwide for using 3D Secure technology.

3D Secure subscription is free of charge and is available in any office of the Bank or may be activated by calling the Bank’s hotline.

The cardholders using our Mobile Bank service are automatically subscribed to 3D Secure.
