OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2014. In GC “Titan” was held a meeting of Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of the RF Sergey Tsyb dedicated to issues of realization of the investment project “Biocomplex” on the territory of Omsk region.

The event was attended by Chairman of Legislative Assembly of Omsk Region Vladimir Varnavsky, First Deputy Head of the Region Vyacheslav Sinyugin, members of the regional government, Mayor of the City of Omsk Vyacheslav Dvorakosky and also by representatives of ROSNANO and Strategy Partners Group.

Before the official part of the visit an observational excursion was organized for guests around objects of the Omsk biocluster and around GC “Titan” petrochemical enterprises. Members of the meeting visited plant “Omsky Kauchuk”, the thermal power plant, the Omsk Polypropylene Plant and one of the key objects of the project “Biocomplex” – Provender Mill “Pushkinsky”.

During the excursion Deputy Minister Sergey Tsyb mentioned high level of infrastructure of GC “Titan” enterprises.

CJSC “GC “Titan” Chairman of the Board of Directors Mikhail Sutyaginsky demonstrated to the high-ranking guests the functioning of cluster model of the project “PARK” on example of currently active petrochemical enterprise. As the head of the Group of Companies said, the “Biocomplex” project has all the potential to become a breakthrough.

“We are planning to proceed to realization of another stage of the “Biocomplex” project – construction of grains’ deep processing plant which is the base for biotechnologies development. With support from the regional government we were given a site for this object, and very soon Omsk can become a city of biotechnologies”, – said Mikhail Sutyaginsky.

After examination of industrial sites a working meeting was held. The dialog between branches of authority, business and science had a practical nature. The parties negotiated various prospects of the project’s realization on the territory of the region considering situation in agriculture, petrochemistry, education etc.

“Activity of business in Omsk region yields sensible results. In order to stimulate this process, one needs efforts both on federal and on regional level. Having visited enterprises of GC “Titan”, we could see once more that instruments which are currently developed to support business initiatives in regions can also be used in Omsk region”, – said Deputy Minister. He also stressed, that Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the RF is ready to render feasible support to GC “Titan”’s project within the framework of state program of development of the industry and it’s competitiveness, and also within sub-program “Industrial Parks”.
