OREANDA-NEWS. Raphael Schoentgen has been appointed Director of Research and Technology, effective as of April 1, 2014. In that capacity, he becomes a member of GDF SUEZ's Executive Committee and reports to Jean-Francois Cirelli, GDF SUEZ Vice-Chairman and President.

He has been Chief Representative Officer of GDF SUEZ in China since 2008. Between 1996 and 1999, he held several senior positions with Alcatel, and afterwards with Mexigaz, Mexican subsidiary of Gaz de France. From 1999 to 2002, he was Head of the Regional Industrial and Technological Development Division at DRIRE Nord-Pas-de-Calais (Regional Directorate for Industry, Research and Environment), and in 2002 he joined the European Commission's Directorate-General for Competition. Between 2004 and 2007, he held the position of Advisor in charge of European and International Affairs at the French Ministry for Energy, Industry and Telecommunications. He joined SUEZ in 2007 as Strategy Advisor for the Energy International Business Line, in charge of international business activities.

Marc Florette, GDF SUEZ Executive Committee member, has been appointed “Digital” Director, effective as of April 1, 2014. He reports to Gerard Mestrallet, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Since 2003, Marc Florette has been Head of Research at Gaz de France and afterwards GDF SUEZ Senior Vice President in charge of Research & Innovation. He started his career in 1979 in charge of research at Gas de France's Studies and New Techniques Division. He then held various positions within EDF GDF SERVICES, and was Head of EDF GDF SERVICES Seine-et-Marne from 1995 to 1999. In 1999, he was appointed Deputy Head of Gaz de France's Research Division and, in 2000, became Head of the Cogeneration Unit within the Service business at Gaz de France and was in charge of the DK6 power plant construction project (800 MW) within Arcelor Mittal.

Jean-Marc Guyot has been appointed Head of the China BU, effective as from April 1, 2014. He is in charge of the China BU's results and business activities, reporting to General Management via Jean-Marie Dauger, Executive Vice-President in charge of the Global Gas & LNG business line, who supervises the activity.

Jean-Marc Guyot has been Chief Executive Officer of Elengy since 2013. He began his career at Gaz de France in 1978 at the Transportation Production Division, where was in charge of dispatching and engineering, before taking part in a liquefaction plant renovation project and later heading major projects engineering at the National Equipment Center. In 1998, he was in charge of developing projects on cogeneration from natural gas in North America and Mexico. He then worked at Cofathec, the energy services subsidiary of Gaz de France, as Director of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer. He returned to gas infrastructures in 2004 as Head of gas distribution in Paris and in 2008 was appointed Deputy Head of Storengy.

Martin Jahan de Lestang has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Elengy, effective as of April 1, 2014, by Elengy's Board of Directors and the Chairman of Fosmax LNG, replacing Jean-Marc Guyot.

Since 2012, Martin Jahan de Lestang has been Head of Performance and Innovation, in charge of the Perform 2015 action plan, at the Infrastructures Business Line. From 1999 to 2008, he held various positions within the French Finance and Culture Ministries. He joined GDF SUEZ in 2008 to take charge of the capacities portfolio service in the Group's Gas Supplies Division (Energy Europe Business Line).

Alexandre Brailowsky has been appointed Head of Societal Responsibility, within the Environmental and Societal Responsibility Division, effective as of April 1, 2014.

Since 2006, Alexandre Brailowsky has been Dialogue and Social Empowerment Director at SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT. As a medical doctor specializing in primary health care in developing countries and in disaster medicine, he carried out several missions with Doctors Without Borders at the start of the 1990s in Guatemala, Mexico, Kenya, Angola, and Haiti. As Director of GRET (Research & Technological Exchange Group - Professionals for Fair Development) in Haiti from 1994 to 1999, he set up drinking-water supply infrastructures in Port-au-Prince shanty towns. In 1999, he became Community Development Manager with Aguas Argentinas, which at the time was a SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT subsidiary.
