OREANDA-NEWS. Deflation rate in Georgia made 0,1% in March 2014, as against February 2014, told in the National Statistics Office of Georgia "GeoStat".

Over the reporting period, alcoholic beverages and tobacco prices increased by 0,1%; healthcare prices - by 0,8%; in transport sphere - by 0,1%; service at hotels, cafe and restaurants - by 0,5%. At the same time, foodstuffs and soft drink prices dropped by 0,6%; public utilities service - by 0,3%. Prices in communications and education sphere remained unchanged in the reporting period.

The Inflation rate in Georgia made 3,5% in March 2014, as against March 2013. Over the reporting period, alcoholic beverages and tobacco prices increased by 7%; foodstuffs and soft drinks prices - by 5,4%. Service at hotels, cafe and restaurants increased in price by 4%; in the healthcare sphere - by 4,4%; those in the education sphere - by 0,7% and public utilities services - by 11,4%. At the same time, prices in transport sphere dropped by 1,1% and prices in the communications sphere - by 0,9%. -0-
