OREANDA-NEWS. In early April, Heads of the basic technical universities of Russia paid a three days' visit to VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation at the invitation of Mikhail Voevodin, Chief Executive Officer.

Among those who got interested in the titanium Corporation invitation are: representatives of the Ural Federal University, Ufa State Aviation Technical University, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, etc.

Program of the visit - presentation of VSMPO industrial site, historical excursion, meeting with chief specialists of the company Research and Development Center, laboratories and main production shops tour.

The following principal fields of joint activity were discussed during the meetings: training of specialists for titanium production and performance of research and development works at the universities on the Corporation's orders. The visit outcome was signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Corporation and these higher educational institutions.

Currently, the Corporation has an approved and effective development program for the system of specialists training in higher educational institutions for 2013-2015. According to the Program, the company shall within the whole academic year pay a monthly corporate scholarship amounting to 10 thousand rubles to the students that undergo special purpose training in the universities in the technical fields required at the Corporation as well as provide an opportunity to do all types of practical training. Special purpose enrollment of school graduates in higher educational institutions of the country is held annually since 2012.

Within the framework of the concluded agreements, the Corporation cooperates with more than 20 educational institutions for training of specialists and carrying out research and development activities for the company.
