OREANDA-NEWS.  April 09, 2014. An official delegation conducted an inspection visit to the jobsite of Youth Olympic Village Project in Tbilisi International Special Economic Zone of Georgia.

This project was contracted by China Metallurgical Construction Group (CMCCLTD Group). The delegation was headed by Yue Bin, Chinese Ambassador to Georgia, and Commercial Counselor Liu Bo. The relevant leaders of Xinjiang Hualing Group, the investor of Tbilisi International Special Economic Zone, accompanied the Ambassador during the visit.

At the jobsite, Yue Bin learned in details the construction progress of the Health Centre and the apartments, as well as the living and working conditions, and then visited the living area of the employees of CMCCLTD Group. According to Yue, it’s a wise choice for Tbilisi International Special Economic Zone to introduce Chinese central enterprises such as CMCCLTD Group to participate in the construction of Youth Olympic Village Project, with the purposes to enhance the brand of the works under construction and improve the qualification of the construction force. Hualing Group and CMCCLTD Group shall strengthen collaboration on a mutual benefit basis, and make contribution to the deepening of friendship between the people of Georgia and China. Taking advantage of the platform offered by Hualing Group, CMCCLTD Group shall endeavor to win more project contracts.

Yue Bin expected CMCCLTD Group to complete the project execution on time, lay emphasis on safety and management of operational employees, respect the laws and regulations of Georgia, and set up a good example of Chinese enterprises.

Liu Bo requested CMCCLTD Group to strengthen contact and communication with Chinese Embassy in the local area. If there are any new projects, he will recommend CMCCLTD Group to the local employers. The leaders of Hualing Group gave full recognition to the achievements made by CMCCLTD Group in the construction of Youth Olympic Village Project, and emphasized that both parties should continue to promote the partnership.

Tbilisi International Special Economic Zone of Georgia covers a total land area of 7,000 mu (note: 1 mu is equal to 666.67 square meters) and a total floorage area of 4.5 million square meters, which will be completed in five phases. Under this project, CMCCLTD Group is awarded with the contracts for 10 apartment buildings, the Health Center and the Athletes Restaurant, with a total floorage area of 50,000 square meters. The supportive facilities of the Special Zone include the shopping market, hotel, Athletes Restaurant, parking lot, apartment of the Youth Olympic Village and the villas.
