OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2014. IBA Group was announced a winner in the IT Europa's European IT & Software Excellence Awards. IT Europa was the organizer of the European IT & Software Excellence Awards contest and the ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Convention that preceded the contest.

Several hundred invited ISVs from 20 countries of Europe, including IBA Group attended the ISV Convention 2014 held in London, Great Britain. The event featured experts from Gartner, HP, IBM, Interoute, Microsoft, and Oracle.

Gartner spoke of the nexus of mobility, big data, and cloud; Oracle discussed navigation through Internet of Things; Interoute Communications presented the Network of the Future, Software Defined Everything, and Simplicity as a Service; Microsoft talked about the cloud for modern business (What business customers ask for from cloud solutions), and IBM presented its new artificial intelligent product IBM Watson. The presentations alternated with panel discussions and culminated in a big debate on new partner types for 2014.

The winners of the European IT & Excellence Awards were announced at the awards dinner. The contest attracted entries from 25 countries and 81 companies from 16 countries made the finals. The finalists, as well as their colleagues, friends, and spouses gathered at the awards dinner with over 350 attending. Broadcaster Bill Turnbull announced the winners.

IBA Group was selected finalist in the category Enterprise Solution of the Year and in the ISV category ERP/Supply Chain Management Solution of the Year, and became the winner in the category ERP/Supply Chain Management Solution of the Year.
