EON Reality and CROC Inaugurates Interactive Digital Center
OREANDA-NEWS. EON Reality, the world's leading interactive 3D solutions provider for businesses and education, and CROC, the number one IT infrastructure creation company in Russia (IDC reports, 2002-2013), today announced the establishment of an new Interactive Digital Center and EON Entrepreneur School in Moscow, Russia. The Center will contain the latest in Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies and will focus on servicing the markets in the CIS countries.
The global demand for Virtual and Augmented Reality systems has seen constant growth and with this partnership EON Reality will be able gain greater access to the Russian and CIS marketplace. CROC is a well-established IT consulting company and is the ideal partner for EON Reality in Russia.
“The Center allows visitors to experience the latest 3D technologies in person,” said Ruslan Zaedinov, CROC General Deputy Director. “We analyzed the market of Virtual Reality systems, and came to the conclusion that such technologies are in great demand among companies of all shapes and sizes. However there is not just a demand for quality equipment, content creation and the training of artists, modelers, and scripters to create that content are also in high demand in the region. This is a big reason why we formed this partnership with EON Reality and founded an Entrepreneur School. The School has 25 students, some of them are CROC's engineers. They will become our first graduates in summer and will receive diplomas recognizing their unique competence. Thus, we are ready to provide a complete range of services; in particular, to supply and lease-out systems; develop and customize 3D content; train customer's people on 3D systems integration with EON Reality hardware and popular animation applications, and much more."
Russia and the CIS marketplace contain many industries in which Virtual Reality solutions from EON Reality and CROC can be successfully deployed. The systems demonstrated in the Center can be used to design products and components in manufacturing and heavy engineering industries, to create architectural models of buildings, housing estates or even cities, as well as for interactive education at schools and universities, and training at emergency agencies. 3D systems are also used in healthcare, oil and gas, and retail industries. Three-dimensional technologies help dramatically reduce prototyping costs, accelerate design phase for complex engineering solutions, improve training efficiency and reduce the risk of emergency.
"We have started arranging tours for customers and have seen interest from universities and science institutions. For example, the Academy of Innovative Education and Development is interested in 3D cube capabilities for education. Oil and gas companies are looking for a user-friendly geo-information management system in our Center, to be used for field development purposes. Many requests come from organizations who want to make a good impression at high-profile events. For example, Rostec Corporation regularly arranges naval engineering exhibitions and considers 3D technology for better visualization. There is also demand among urban planning, construction and development, and cultural organizations," said Pavel Pochtennov, Director of 3D Solution Center, CROC.
“We are excited about partnering with CROC to found our newest IDC. Virtual and Augmented Reality are in heavy use by the transportation industry, oil and gas industry, and universities. Together we will promote interactive 3D solutions in Russia, and I strongly believe that we can bring more attention to Virtual and Augmented Reality solutions in the region,” said Mats Johansson, co-founder, President and CEO of EON Reality. “Interactive 3D technology is in high demand which will provide Entrepreneur School students with knowledge, but also employment opportunities as this sector continue to grow in Russia and the CIS countries.”
CROC's 3D Solution Center is based on specialized EON visualization systems and EON software for 3D content generation. The solutions have capabilities for integration with other design systems, such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, 3ds Max, Solidworks, NX, and CATIA.
