OREANDA-NEWS. April 08, 2014. Air France launched a new service to Brasilia, its third destination in Brazil after Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Brasilia is now served by the Company with three weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Flights are operated by Boeing 777-200 equipped with 309 seats, with 35 in the Business cabin, 24 in Premium Economy and 250 in Economy.

AF 0520: leaves Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 13:30, arrives in Brasilia at 19:15.

AF 0515: leaves Brasilia at 22:40, arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 14:20 the following day.

New connecting opportunities thanks to the Brazilian airline GOL

Since 2009, Air France-KLM and GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes have been involved in a partnership that enables Air France and KLM to offer their customers 28 destinations in Brazil* via Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. In February 2014, Air France-KLM and GOL strengthened their partnership thanks to a new agreement. This latest agreement will progressively enrich the destinations on offer under code-share agreements with GOL via Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Brasilia.

Personalized services for Brazilian customers

All Air France’s cabin crew are trained to take the cultural specifics of customers into account, and in particular those of its Brazilian customers. On flights to and from Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia, Air France provides Portuguese-speaking flight crew. Over 60 Brazilian hostesses and stewards have been hired by the Company, in addition to close to 500 Portuguese-speaking staff.

On these routes, in-flight announcements are made in Brazilian Portuguese. Air France offers its customers a selection of daily and weekly Brazilian business titles. A choice of 200 to 300 CDs with an extensive range of music types, including a selection of Latin American titles is also available, to help passengers compose their own personal programme of music. In each Air France cabin, a personal, in-seat video can screen up to 125 films in numerous languages (up to nine), including Portuguese. In all, some 600 hours of programming are on tap. In its catering offer, Air France provides dishes from around the world and places great importance on awareness of other cultures by listening attentively to customer wishes with respect to their taste in food.
