OREANDA-NEWS. As the EU countries and Ukraine change to the daylight saving time during the night of March 29 to March 30, the Belarusian Railway adjusted international train timetables in cooperation with the railway administrations of Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine in advance.

For example, the train No 115 Minsk-Warsaw, which used to depart from Minsk at 21:46 to arrive at Warszawa Centralna station at 5:40, will as of March 30 depart from Minsk at 20:44, whereas the arrival time will remain unchanged. The train No 116 Warsaw-Moscow, which used to depart from Warszawa Centralna at 21:06 and used to arrive in Minsk at 9:06, will depart from Warszawa as before, but arrives in Minsk at 8:03 due to the adjustment towards daylight saving time.

Changes also concern international trains going to Ukraine and the Baltic countries. As a result of the time change, train No 86 Moscow-Kiev, which used to depart from the Belarusian capital at 21:35 and to arrive at Kiev at 7:26, will arrive in Kiev at 8:36 as of March 30, whereas departure time from Minsk will remain unchanged - 8:48.

The train No 15 Moscow-Vilnius, which used to depart from Minsk at 7:40 and arrive at its final destination at 9:10, will arrive as of March 30 in Vilnius at 10:10, whereas departure time from Minsk will remain unchanged. The train No 16 Vilnius-Minsk, which used to depart from Vilnius at 17:14 before and to arrive at the Belarusian capital at 20:44, will depart from Vilnius at 18:14 as of March 30, whereas arrival time at Minsk remains unchanged.

Due to changes in the schedule of international trains, the schedules for regional and inter-regional trains, which are operating within Belarus, have been adjusted.

The passenger trains, departing from starting points on March 30, 2014 before the switch to daylight savings time and then be en route during the switch to daylight savings time, will terminate the end points down the line in concordance with timetable being in effects until the switch to daylight savings time.
