Court Confirmed Legitimacy of Fine for Monitoring Service South
OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2014. Moscow Arbitration Court pronounced legitimacy of a determination of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) on an administrative case against “Monitoring Service South” Ltd.
“Monitoring Service South” Ltd. is a dealer of “Argus-Spektr” CJSC, a Russian manufacturer of fire-fighting equipment. It was held administratively liable for failure to submit information upon a request of the antimonopoly authority (Article 19.8 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations). FAS fined the company 300,000 RUB.
“Frequently the tactics of economic entities suspected of violating the antimonopoly law is to intentionally fail to provide information to FAS Russia. In our opinion, such intended counterstand must not remain unpunished”, emphasized the Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenischev.
