E4 Group Joins CIGRE International Organization
OREANDA-NEWS. JSC “E4 Group” joined International Council on Large Electric Systems - CIGRE (Conseil International des Grands Reseaux Electriques - CIGRE). As on date, there was approved a Contract with the Russian National Committee CIGRE (headed by Boris I. Ayuev, Chairman of Managing Board of JSC “SO UES”), as well as a cooperation plan for the year 2014 (on the basis of proposals from JSC “E4-SibENTC” and JSC “E4-SibCOTES”).
International Council on Large Electric Systems - CIGRE (Conseil International des Grands Reseaux Electriques - CIGRE) is the biggest international non-governmental and non-commercial organization in the sphere of electric energy. CIGRE was founded in 1921 in France and today is one of the most credible R&D associations that combines scientists and power engineers all around the world and has a great influence on forming industry development strategies of many countries.
Nowadays, over 1000 energy companies, training centers and over 5500 scientists and specialists from all the electric energy fields are the members of CIGRE. The organization counts 16 research committees and a great number of working teams, where the whole range of operation and development matters as regards to energy systems and energy markets are studied.
The main purpose of CIGRE, as stated in their Statutes, is to coordinate researches, exchange experience and R&D information on operation of electric energy systems. The issues related to development, establishment and operation of high voltage equipment, as well as those of planning and operation of energy systems, development and implementation of new technologies on data collection and processing and control systems are major focus of interest.
