Professional Retraining Program Launched at TATNEFT
OREANDA-NEWS. April 04, 2014. A large-scale program of professional retraining was launched at JSC TATNEFT.
Middle level managers: heads of crude oil and gas production shops of the Oil and Gas Production Divisions of the Company, heads of reservoir pressure maintenance and well remedial servicing shops attended the first of six off-job training modules.
A weekly lesson plan included the subjects concerning modern oil and gas business and its technological components. The event participants familiarized with modern methods of geological study of resources and oil/gas reserves, as well as with development of enhanced oil recovery methods.
The teachers of the course included more than 30 Russian and foreign experts, most of whom teach at the Institute of Oil and Gas Business in Moscow. Some lectures were presented by a teacher from the Netherlands with simultaneous translation into Russian.
Speaking about the project's relevance, Nail Ibragimov, First Deputy General Director for Production - Chief Engineer of JSC TATNEFT, Ph.D., said that knowledge today is a major competitive advantage. The current production organization and application of high tech technologies allow TATNEFT remaining among the leaders of the domestic producers by the integral indicator of the Company's development: mean time between failures.
Moving forward is only possible with the background of accumulated knowledge and global experience. This is the main tool in the production of heavy in every sense of the word oil.
Rustem Shagiev, Rector of the Institute of Oil and Gas Business, Doctor of Economics, emphasized that the project being implemented at TATNEFT is not only a contribution to the development of corporate educational standards, but also means participation in creating a new governmental system of training highly qualified personnel.
The training students are in for a number of familiarizing visits to the TATNEFT's facilities scheduled for them in the course of the studies. In the first semester the training module participants visited the "TANECO" Refinery and Petrochemical Plants Complex and the Tire Manufacturing Complex of "Tatneft-Nefekhim" Management Company.
There will be testing arranged at the end of each of the six courses, and in the program-final covering 288 academic hours the students will have to present their thesis projects to be implemented in the actual production.
