OREANDA-NEWS. For the period from the 23rd to 28th of March a representative Team of the Boeing Company paid a working visit to VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation (Verkhnaya Salda, Sverdlovsk region).

For five days over dozen of American engineers, financiers, Purchasing, Sales & Lean specialists discussed topical cooperation issues with their Russian colleagues.

Currently, main approaches of long-term partnership between VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation and the Boeing Company are supplies of titanium products under Boeing 737, Boeing 777, and Boeing 787 aircraft projects. Therefore, interest was jointly shown to scientific researches, improvement of production technologies, optimization of all manufacturing processes and definitely, expansion of the titanium facility capacities with focus on manufacturing fashioned die forgings under projects of this aircraft producer.

Commenting the visit results VSMPO-AVISMA Chief Executive Officer Mikhail Voevodin indicated as follows:

"Practice of holding such extended joint meetings demonstrates that this type of activity is effective for development of cooperation between VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation and the Boeing Company.
