OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2014. CCCC concluded an investment and construction cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Yunnan Province on New Kunming-Songming Highway, Qujing-Xuanwei Highway and Mengzi-Wenshan-Yanshan Highway. Chen Yun, vice president of CCCC and Liu Yiping, director of the Department of Transport of Yunnan Province signed on behalf of respective sides.

Liu Qitao noted, the cooperation has made substantial progress under the principle of mutual trust and benefit. He hoped that the project will continue receiving strong support from the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, the People's Government of Yunnan Province, relevant departments and the prefectures and cities where the project is located, to jointly make positive contributions to Yunnan's economic and social development. The cooperation is a good beginning. Hopefully the two sides will further renovate the cooperation mode and advance cooperation in more fields and at a deeper level.

With a total investment of some 32.1 billion yuan and a construction length of some 294 kilometers, the three highways covered by the agreement are all state highways which will be invested in and constructed in a cooperative way, under the principle of "overall packaging" and in the mode of "BOT + EPC + local government subsidization".

The agreement's conclusion is not only another major move of the People's Government of Yunnan Province to vigorously advance "central enterprises' entry into Yunnan", but also the new innovation and practice of CCCC's investment mode, and a good beginning for CCCC to invest in Yunnan's infrastructural market and becomes a strategic partner of the People's Government of Yunnan Province. The project's completion is of great significance to perfecting the state highway network, improving Yunnan's transport conditions, accelerating the construction of Yunnan's "9210" trunk highway skeleton, smoothly connecting Yunnan's highways to those in South Asia and Southeast Asia, and promoting the fast economic development of Yunnan.
