OREANDA-NEWS. Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (“MTS” or "the Company" - NYSE: MBT), the leading telecommunications provider in Russia and the CIS, announces the appointment of Mr. Andrei Ushatskiy as Vice President, Chief Technology and Information Officer, Member of the Executive Board.

Mr. Andrei Ushatskiy has served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of MTS Group since 2009. His area of responsibility will expand to include information technology.

Mr. Ushatskiy has been with MTS since 1996, advancing from a specialist position to a variety of network operations management roles to becoming the Deputy Head of MTS Russia for Technology.

He graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1997 and obtained executive MBA from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation in 2004.
