OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2014. The biggest decline was reported by the public sector enterprises and made up 15.8%. As a result the gas consumption fell to 42.4 million cu m.

The energy sector of Moldova reduced the consumption 8.3% to 393.5 million cu m, the population consuming 278.1 million cu m, 7% down. Economic entities increased the consumption of natural gas by 9.4% to 231.4 million cu m.

The share of the energy sector in the structure of the consumption was the greatest, 41.6%. The shares of the population, economic entities and public institution were 29.4%, 24.5% and 4.5% respectively. In monetary terms, gas consumers were supplied gas amounting to MDL 5.8 billion in 2013, down 2.6% year.
