SMP Bank Latvian Customers Get Financial Services in Full Scope
OREANDA-NEWS. April 01, 2014. AS "SMP Bank" management would inform that Bank customers get in full scope financial services rendered by the Bank.
On Saturday one could notice slightly increased activity of customers in a number of servicing centres though this activity fell within the normal pattern of practice for the days when pension allowances are being disbursed; on Saturday and Sunday a significant portion of welfare recipients made withdrawals from accounts as well as cleared utility bills.
Today Bank including all its service centres operates in a normal way and provides customers with all services.
Payment cards issued by the Bank are operable in full and without any interruptions.
According to the information published by Thomson Reuters Eikon the U.S. government has informed VISA International Service Association to lift sanctions against Russian banks including OJSC SMP Bank because they did not meet the criteria for sanctions.
VISA International Service Association has returned Russian OJSC SMP Bank cards to normal operation; MasterCard as well announced about resuming business relationship with OJSC SMP Bank
Financial institution AS "SMP Bank" is established in Latvia as a free-standing enterprise, and the Bank operates in compliance with regulation of Republic of Latvia and European Union.
AS "SMP Bank" performed in 2013 with the audited profit of EUR 1.639 million; the ratio of liquidity is 80.15% which exceeds the one required by regulation for more than two times.
It was announced on Friday March 21, 2014 that the U.S. sanctions were not applicable to a registered in Latvia AS "SMP Bank". The list of sanctioned persons announced on Friday by the European Union did not include names of AS "SMP Bank" Council members.
