Uniastrum Offers Insurance Services for Foreign Nationals
OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2014. Non-Russian citizens can now take out voluntary health insurance at Uniastrum outlets under VSK Insurance House’s Migrant program
“Uniastrum believes that foreign nationals working or studying in Russia should be able to receive immediate, high-quality healthcare if they need it. Given the increasing number of migrants coming to work in Russia from other countries, we think this particular service will prove highly popular, especially bearing in mind the Bank’s extensive network of offices, which are readily accessible for retail customers,” notes Susanna Uzunyan, head of Uniastrum’s Retail Product Design and Development Division.
The Migrant program covers emergency medical expenses for treatment of injuries, burns, poisoning, acute illnesses, urgent and emergency medical care, etc. A Migrant health coverage policy can be taken out at Uniastrum Bank outlets by foreign nationals legally resident in the Russian Federation, as well as by Russian citizens aged 18-65 situated in Russia at a location over 50 km from their permanent place of residence or primary place of employment.
Filling out a Migrant voluntary healthcare insurance policy takes less than 10 minutes and requires the applicant to show his/her migration card or passport. Coverage costs from Rb 500 to Rb 1,500 depending on the length of the insurance period, which may be 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.
