OREANDA-NEWS.  The representatives of our company visited Liebherr’s factory manufacturing engines, including “hearts” of racing trucks.
The KAMAZ delegation included Irek Gumerov, Deputy General Director of OJSC KAMAZ – Director for Development; Vladimir Chagin, Manager of the KAMAZ-master team; Vladimir Guba, Technical Director of the team; and Eduard Nikolaev, a bronze winner of Dakar-2014. The latter arrived at the meeting by the very rally truck that brought its crew to the podium. It was just the vehicle in which a Liebherr engine was installed.
The representatives of the team told the company’s workers and reporters about the last Dakar, answered all questions and discussed prospects for further cooperation. This first arrival of the KAMAZ-master racing truck at the plant of Liebherr aroused great interest among the company’s top managers and employees who got an opportunity to see the results of their work which led to the Dakar victory.
According to Vladimir Chagin, the team is satisfied with cooperation with Liebherr, “We have chosen a reliable and promising partner. I am confident that our cooperation will lead the team to other achievements in the future. The new engines proved to be perfect in the extreme two-week race. And if three of five KAMAZ racing trucks were equipped with Liebherr engines for this year’s Dakar, all trucks of KAMAZ-master will go to Dakar-2015 with Liebherr motors.”
