OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow Domodedovo Airport has once again won the award of Skytrax World Airport Awards: air travelers from around the world called the air hub the best in Russia and the CIS.

On March 26, 2014, there was held the Skytrax World Airport Awards award ceremony this time hosted by Barcelona, where the airports given the highest ratings by passengers were announced. Once again Moscow Domodedovo Airport turned out to be among the best air hubs of the world and was given the prestigious award, winners of which are chosen by millions of travelers worldwide.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport, for the fifth year running, became the winner of Skytrax World Airport Awards, which is awarded following the results of the independent survey held by the authoritative British consulting company Skytrax. This year, respondents named the largest airport of the country's to be the best airport in Russia and the CIS, giving a high rating to the level of its services. Moscow Domodedovo Airport was the only air hub which received the award in this category.

Skytrax World Airport Awards is awarded following the results of surveys conducted at the airports which allows to objectively evaluate the quality of the services provided. Respondents express their opinion on the entire range of services rendered by an air hub: the survey covers 39 parameters.

This year's survey involving over 12 million people was held at 410 airports worldwide. Travelers noted Moscow Domodedovo Aiport's services provided using modern equipment and qualified personnel. Travelers also highly appreciated the convenience of the architectural concept of the terminal, designed under the UNDER ONE ROOF principle, when a single terminal is built. It allows to use the airport air transfer potential to the fullest. Respondents also mentioned a wide range of public places at Moscow Domodedovo Airport where you can spend your time waiting for your departure or meeting someone.
