UAC to Present its Main Projects in Chile
OREANDA-NEWS. From 25 to 30 of March, 2014, JSC “United Aircraft Corporation” (UAC) will take part in one of the most important air shows in Latin America – the international air show FIDAE (Santiago, Chile).
UAC’s military exposition will present the Su-35 and Yak-130. Su-35 is an upgraded supermaneuverable multifunctional 4++ generation fighter. Su-35 uses a number of 5th generation fighter technologies that provide superiority over other 4th generation fighters.
Yak-130, a two-seat new generation combat trainer is aimed at main and advanced front-line pilots training. This aircraft is very maneuverable and possesses modern avionics, capable to train pilots to fly fourth and fifth generation Russian and foreign-made combat aircraft.
Sukhoi Superjet 100 program will be presented by Superjet International that is responsible for aircraft promotion to Latin American market and PowerJet, a risk-sharing partner of the program. Successful operation of 6 SSJ100 as part of Interjet fleet opens new perspectives for one of the key UAC programs. The Corporation plans to capture more than 20% of the 61-120-seat market with this aircraft in the region.

From the very beginning the aircraft showed high average daily utilization and dispatch reliability comparable to best world standards. This is a perfect confirmation to the fact that SSJ100 is a highly competitive product with great potential in Latin America” – said Mikhail Pogosyan, UAC President.
MC-21 program and Be-200 is also part of UAC exposition. MC-21 is a medium-range narrowbody aircraft family with wide operational capabilities. MC-21 will allow to lower operational costs by more than 10% if compared to the aircraft that are currently in operation.
All these and other products by UAC’s subsidiaries – “Sukhoi “Company”, “Irkut” Corporation”, JCS “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” and JSC “Beriev” are of sufficient interest for customers from Latin America. The Corporation aims to further strengthen its presence in this region with both military and civil products.
