OREANDA-NEWS. OAO Belaruskali is planning to start the development of Petrikov deposit and build there a mining plant by 2022, a company representative told.

The plant is expected to be commissioned by January 1, 2022 and operate for over 90 years. The annual production capacity of the plant will be at least 1.5 million tones of potassium chloride.

OAO Belaruskali is one of the world's biggest producers of potassium fertilizers. It accounts for 16% of the world's potassium export.
