OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2014. The Kyrgyz Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (KyrSEFF) under the auspices of EBRD and the Investment Fund of the European Union conducted the spring session for mass media regarding the topic “Energy efficient solutions for sustainable economy”.

The activity was held with participation of representatives of the Kyrgyz Government, representatives of KICB and the other financial sector. The specific results and the actual experience of the implemented projects KyrSEFF on energy saving in housing and business sectors for 2013 were presented to the audience.

Since May 2013 within the frameworks of KyrSEFF more than 300 energy saving activities have been financed. It is expected that these investments will lead to saving of the primary energy resources for 5,5 million kW/h, which according to the experts’ calculations is equal to the annual energy consumption of 273 typical families in Kyrgyzstan. As far as the population’s awareness of the advantages of energy saving and assistance and benefits that can be received within KyrSEFF increases, the interest among consumers and business community grows. Each investment of KyrSEFF is accompanied by the grants up to 20% of the loan amount provided by the Investment facility for Central Asia (IFCA) of the European Union.

KICB takes part in KYRSEFF and offers the product “Warm House+” to the clients of the Bank in order to reduce energy consumption, to reduce the deficit of energy and the quantity of hazardous emissions into atmosphere.
