OREANDA-NEWS. CROC has become the first Russian company to be certified with EMC Cloud Builder Practice status.

During 2013, CROC increased its competence in convergent network and virtual infrastructure creation, invested in the development of its EMC Solution Center, and implemented dozens of cloud projects based on the vendor's products. EMC, which has been CROC's partner since 2002, recognized these accomplishments with the new status awarded under the EMC Business Partner Program for Solution Providers.

"EMC Business Partner Program for Solution Providers is designed to stimulate Russian service providers' operations and support our distributors and partners. We focus on cloud computing as it defines IT development today and will continue to drive the industry over the coming years. Encouragement of partners like CROC, which have successfully adopted EMC cloud technologies, helps accelerate the penetration of proven infrastructure solutions, such as VMAX SP and VSPEX, and new EMC cloud services into the Russian market," comments Mikhail Sarkisov, Director of Partner Management Department, EMC Russia and CIS.

"We seek to employ the latest EMC products and test and demonstrate them in our computer labs. We were the first company in Russia to promote vBlock, an out-of-the-box cloud, in our solution center. Thanks to solution tests in a near-live environment, CROC can recommend the best solutions in terms of price/business value and implement them in independent projects," says Vadim Bolotnov, Director of CROC's EMC Solution Center.

During 13 years of cooperation between CROC and EMC, more than 500 large projects have been implemented and the share of cloud projects is increasing. In 2012-2013, CROC upgraded the primary data center and created a backup data center for Svyaz Bank; implemented a disaster tolerance solution on EMC VPLEX for Domodedovo Airport; deployed EMC VNX unified storage systems for TransCreditBank (now part of VTB24); built a segment of CROC's own public cloud on VMware hypervisor and VNX storage system; and carried out over 20 complex tests at CROC's EMC Solution Center in environments designed to be as close as possible to those experienced by the customer.
