OREANDA-NEWS. United Airlines announced today that it has renewed its partnership with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and will be the official airline of the organization's special events throughout 2014.

"United is looking forward to its eighth consecutive year sponsoring NAHJ as the organization celebrates its 30th anniversary," said Nene Foxhall, United's executive vice president, communications and government affairs. "We are pleased to help advance the important work of NAHJ, which provides scholarships, internships, fellowships and training to hundreds of journalists in media outlets throughout the nation."

The United-NAHJ partnership includes "Newsmaker" level sponsorship of the 2014 NAHJ Annual Multimedia Convention & Career Expo, to be held Aug. 7-9 in San Antonio, as well as title sponsorship of a full-day conference in Mexico City on Latin American issues, scheduled for October 2014. United also will sponsor local NAHJ chapter and regional events around the country throughout the year.

"I'm excited and grateful for United Airlines' generous sponsorship," said Hugo Balta, NAHJ president. "United Airlines is an invaluable partner, which makes it possible for NAHJ to reach as many members as possible across the country."

United initiated its support of the NAHJ in 2006.
