Qantas epiQure Launches New Series of Tasting Events
OREANDA-NEWS. Qantas Frequent Flyers can now combine a love of fine wines with a gourmet food truck experience following the launch of a new series of tasting events by Qantas epiQure.
“Wine & Wheels” brings together the best of the fast-growing gourmet food truck scene with the extensive range of wines from Qantas epiQure's award-winning cellar, including new vintages, exclusive samples as well as back vintages.
The series was launched in Sydney last night with gourmet Mexican food truck “Cantina Movil” offering up delicious dishes including tacos, nachos and burritos.
Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said Wine & Wheels is a brand new event concept for Qantas epiQure members to enjoy, and stays true to Qantas epiQure's philosophy of providing Qantas Frequent Flyers with access to exclusive experiences and products not seen anywhere else.
“Wine & Wheels takes the best of our extensive range of wines and combines it with the fast growing culinary trend of gourmet food trucks. It's a great opportunity for our Qantas Frequent Flyers to get a taste of Qantas epiQure and sample flavours from all over the world in unique events spaces across Australia,” said Ms Grant.
“We are delighted to be bringing a new and exciting concept to the program and will continue to look for interesting ways to provide unique experiences and offerings for our loyal frequent flyers that have a passion for food and wine.”
Last night's event in Sydney kicked off the Qantas epiQure “Wine & Wheels” program, with events in Adelaide, Canberra and Melbourne to be held in coming weeks.
La Cantina Co will roll into “Wine & Wheels” Adelaide on 27 March at The Mill in Adelaide's CBD.
Cantina Movil will visit Canberra's The Foreshore Gallery, part of the Old Bus depot Market precinct on the Kingston Foreshore on 2 April.
Tuxedo Cat will transform a space in inner-city Melbourne where Taco Truck will headline “Wine & Wheels” Melbourne on 9 April.
Qantas epiQure is the online wine community exclusive to Qantas Frequent Flyer members. Qantas epiQure provides members with the opportunity to purchase wine from Qantas' award winning wine cellar with free delivery and enjoy exclusive events including invitations to dinners with globally renowned chefs.
This is the latest in a series of new opportunities for members to earn and redeem Qantas Points, and follows on from Qantas Cash (a pre-paid currency function build into the next generation Frequent Flyer Cards), Qantas Cruises (a new cruise booking platform where you can earn Qantas Points over 10,000 cruise itineraries with 17 international cruise lines) and Aquire, (the new rewards program for Australian businesses launching in March).
