KAMAZ’s Director General Participates in Agricultural Meeting
OREANDA-NEWS. Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, attended the meeting on the development of agricultural machinery presided by Dmitry Medvedev, Russian Prime Minister, in Rostov-on-Don.
Nikolay Fyodorov, Russian Minister of Agriculture, told about successful implementation of finance programs in the Republic of Tatarstan. “To receive 2 billion rubles every year from their own budget is perfect for agricultural producers to satisfy their needs,” the minister emphasized and called to find solutions to promote agricultural vehicles made in Russia. Konstantin Babkin, Chairman of the Russian Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Rosagromash, drew attention to successful experience in financing the automobile industry.
“Production facilities of our agricultural machinery manufacturers can fully satisfy a demand for modern vehicles and export a significant amount of products,” said Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. “Our vehicles feature technical and economic parameters similar to those of foreign brands and even surpass them by some indicators. These are the results of special tests carried out in 2012.”
As Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Prime Minister, noted at a briefing held to sum up the results of the meeting, a number of assignments will be given after the meeting. In particular, the state support of domestic agricultural machinery producers will be increased.
