The innovation methodology allows to increase forecast efficiency and accuracy in comparison with conventional methods of data collecting and processing. Specialists call it the main area of the development of field geophysics in the coming decade.

The use of the rich azimuth 3D survey allowed to clarify the geological model of the Yuzhno-Ostashkovich field, obtain the image of prospects with high resolution and precision, study the structure of the reservoir in detail at great depth. It, for example, influences the accuracy of choosing well site and well drilling technology, and reduces the risk which results in a considerable cost saving effect.

According to the specialists of BelNIPIneft, the rich azimuth seismic survey technology can become an important instrument in enhancing the efficiency of seismic survey during the process of exploring hydrocarbon fields in the subsurface of Belarus, difficult in terms of geology.
