OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2014. As it was informed in the National social insurance agency, transfers from the state budget amounting to 765,3 million lei were allocated as follows: 260,8 million leis were directed to the payment of social benefits; 99.3 million lei for the additional financial support for the recipients of pensions and social benefits and 405,0 million lei to cover the state social insurance budget deficit.

Interests and other income amounted to 0.8 million lei. The contributions for the social insurance in January-February 2014 amounted to 1 billion 151.9 million lei (96.9% of the plan), increasing by 40.8 million lei compared with the same period of 2013.

State social insurance budget expenditure in January-February 2014 amounted to 1 billion 835,8 million lei (95.8% of the plan). At the same time, as compared with the same period of the previous year, social insurance budget expenditure has increased by 198.5 million lei. In the first 2 months of 2014 revenue has exceeded current state budget and the state social insurance expenditure by 82.2 million lei. According to the agency, on March 1, 2014, the balance of funds on the National social insurance agency accounts amounted to 161.1 million lei.
