OREANDA-NEWS.  March 20, 2014. In 2013 Moldova was importing petrol from Romania mostly, the National Energy Regulatory Agency said. Romania's share amounted to 72.4% in the overall volume of the petrol imported to our country.

The shares of Austria and Bulgaria made up 13.3% and 7.1% respectively; Hungary imported 3.2% of the overall amount, Lithuania’s share was made 2.5%, the share of Belarus amounting to 1.5%. In the reporting period, major petrol importers to Moldova were Petrom Moldova и LUKoil-Moldova, their market shares making 32.5% and 32% respectively.

They were followed by Tirex Petrol – 13.4%, Rompetrol Moldova – 12.2%, Vero-Nadina – 2.5%, Energo Petrol – 1.9%, Andezit – 1.8% and others. However, only two companies holding substantial market shares managed to increase the volumes of petrol imports in 2013 against 2013, ANRE reports. They were Rompetrol Moldova and Lukoil Moldova, their petrol imports growing 32% and 1.5%.

Among companies with less considerable market shares, the growth in the petrol imports was reported by Andezit (3.5 times), Energo Petrol (66.2%) and Beruf Auto (48.4%). The rest of the company decreased the imports. The declines were reported by Tirex Petrol (by 6.3%), Petrom Moldova (by 4.7%) and Vero-Nadina (by 30%). In 2013 four companies were not importing petrol to Moldova, despite having the licences.

The petrol and diesel import license was obtained by two companies - Dies Tehnologie and Vitla-Petrol. Their shares in the overall petrol import amounted to 0.4% and 0.1% respectively. In 2013, Vesi Plus, Bemol Trading and Valiexchimp were revoked the license from due to various reasons. Moldresurse’s license has run out.
