In line with the document, published in Monitorul Oficial, MDL 616 million has been budgeted for national roads and MDL 319.08 million has been assigned for local ones.

The road maintenance will be allotted to MDL 895.63 million, of which MDL 579.55 million are to be spent on maintenance of primary roads and MDL 316.08 million are to be allocated to maintenance of secondary ones.

The biggest sum, or MDL 541.18 million, will be allotted to the current repair of the road bed and surface treatment. For this purpose national roads will be allotted to MDL 363.1 million; another MDL 178.08 million will be assigned for secondary roads. Over MDL 244.45 million have been assigned for maintenance of roads, including pits filling, crashed-stone roads profiling, subgrade and drainage maintenance, and for contingency works.

For this purpose primary roads will be allotted to MDL 135.45 million and secondary ones will be assigned for MDL 109 million. Traffic safety works, such as replacement and repair of road signs and road marking, have been allotted to MDL 49 million, including MDL 40 million for national roads and MDL 9 million for local ones.

The winter maintenance (anti-ice measures, etc) has been budgeted for MDL 40 million, including MDL 25 million for national roads and MDL 15 million for local ones. Administration of public roads has been budgeted for MDL 16 million. Technical registration, road repair and optimization system adoption, drafting of regulatory frameworks, development of the data base and international cooperation have been assigned for MDL 2 million each.

About MDL 3.55 million will be allotted to pay the 2013 road and engineering structure repair arrears To purchase road machines and special equipment MDL 24.5 million have been budgeted. 2014 will see the large-scale repair of local roads all over Moldova. About MDL 390 million will be allotted to repair roads in 706 localities. Approaches to social facilities, such as schools, hospitals, healthcare centres, will be repaired firs.
