OREANDA-NEWS. A special UTair Aviation shareholder meeting took place on March 13, 2014 in which a number of financial deals related to the purchase of 10 Boeing 737-800/900 aircraft were approved. The 10 aircraft form a part of a current contract that was signed in 2011 for the delivery of 40 aircraft of this type.

The first jetliner under this contract was delivered to UTair in October 2013. In 2014 the airline expects delivery of 8 more aircraft of this type. All new Boeing aircraft in the contract are equipped with CFM56-5B engines and come in single class seating configuration. The 737-800 and the 737-900 models can accommodate up to 170 and 220 passengers respectively. Cabin interiors are equipped with modern ergonomically designed Pinnacle seats produced by B/E Aerospace, INC.

In compliance with Russian Federal law No. 75 on joint stock ventures, UTair Aviation shareholders who voted against measures raised for approval or who abstained from voting retain the right to demand from UTair Aviation the reacquisition of all or a part of their common shares in the company at the market price established by an independent assessor of 22 rubles and 95 kopecks no later than 45 days after the special shareholder meeting.

Also at the meeting Ernst & Young, a global leader of business and audit services, was approved to serve as the auditor of the financial and operational activities of UTair Aviation.
