Five New Members Join Otkritie's Board of Directors
OREANDA-NEWS. Otkritie Financial Corporation (“Otkritie” or “the Corporation”), Russia's largest independent financial group, announces that the extraordinary general meeting of Otkritie shareholders held on 14 March has elected the new Board of Directors. From now on, there will be eight members on the Board, instead of six.
Otkritie's Board of Directors Chairman Ruben Aganbegyan, Otkritie's Chairman of the Managing Board Vadim Belyaev, and NOMOS-BANK President Dmitriy Romaev were re-elected to the Corporation's Board of Directors.
Also, five new members were elected to the Board:
Sergey Gordeev, a shareholder of Otkritie;
Aleksandr Mamut, a shareholder of Otkritie;
Olga Plaksina, Chairman of the Managing Board of IFD Capital, who does not own any shares in Otkritie;
Aleksandr Medvedovskiy, a member of the Managing Board of IFD Capital, who does not own any shares in Otkritie; and
Sergey Areshev, Head of International Legal Department at ICT Group, who does not own any shares in Otkritie.
“We welcome the new members to our Board of Directors”, said Chairman of Otkritie's Board of Directors Ruben Aganbegyan. “Their experience will help to ensure further growth of our business and strengthen the positions of the company's business lines in various segments of the financial market.”
Aleksander Mamut has been an Otkritie beneficiary since 2013. He now holds a 8.33% stake in the Corporation.
Sergey Gordeev has been an Otkritie beneficiary since 2013. He currently holds a 7.96% stake in the Corporation.
Alexander Nesis' companies (ICT Group) became shareholders in Otkritie in 2013 as a result of Otkritie's acquisition of NOMOS-BANK. They currently hold a 17.49% stake in the Corporation.
In 2014, IFD Capital will also become a shareholder in Otkritie with a 19.9% stake. As part of the agreed strategic partnership, the Corporation will also acquire at least 95% of shares in Bank Petrocommerce.
Otkritie would also like to express its gratitude for the contribution of Ilya Yuzhanov, Mikhail Zhernov and Sergey Dubinin, who have served on the Board for a long time.
