Belarus' RADAMIR Says Liquor Output Down 45.1% in Jan-Feb
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' state-owned distilling company Gomel LVZ (RADAMIR brand) produced 145,000 dal of liquor and vodka in January-February 2014, down 45.1% on the year, a company representative told.
Vodka output totalled 137,000 dal, down 44.5% year on year, liquor - down 3.3 times to 3,000 dal, brandy - down 16.7% to 5,000 decalitres, pure alcohol - down 48.3% to 77,000 decalitres.
As of March 1, 2014, the company's vodka inventories stood at 258,000 dal.
Gomel LVZ exports alcoholic beverages to the Baltic States and Germany, which small quantities shipped to Armenia, New Zealand. Ethyl alcohol is exported to Turkmenistan, Moldova, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Established in 1897, Gomel LVZ produced Br58.981 billion (USD 6.018m) worth of alcohol products in January-February 2014 to compare with Br64,208 billion in Jan-Feb 2013.
